Krier Foods, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Production Line Lead in our production facility located in Random Lake, WI. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person has the primary responsibility of overseeing the production of carbonated and non-carbonated non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced beverage co-packing environment. From ensuring proper production set up with regards to machines, processes, materials and paperwork, to training and leading a team of machine operators on 2nd shift, this person will be work closely with other members of the production, maintenance and sanitation teams to ensure quality and safety specifications are met.     • Responsible for enforcing safety and quality standards, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and adherence to job specifications.
    • Ensure proper PPE is utilized, as well as forklift compliance.
    • Responsible for reading, comprehending and explaining job standards, packaging requirements and implementing the quality standards and specifications for products.
    • Train, motivate, guide and assist production line workers to carry out duties and responsibilities in a safe, standardized, effective and efficient manner.
    • Able to operate all equipment (example: de-palletizer, filler, packager, labeler) and processing systems (pasteurization, hot fill, cold fill carbonated, ambient, etc.) on the production line assigned and manage the line staffing provided.
    • Understand and monitor shift productivity and quality specifications are met or exceeded by delivering production line results, including efficiencies and yields, and consistently meets production requirements as set for each line.
    • Responsible for inspecting the production line for proper setup to ensure everything is set up correctly (processing system, detectors, injectors, coders, equipment, etc.).
    • Able to quickly troubleshoot issues, resolve and keep production line moving.
    • Follow all customer standards/specifications, quality requirements and Federal, State and Local regulations.
    • Monitor equipment for proper operation and report issues to Operations Manager and document all issues on company forms.
    • Responsible for ensuring all daily production line documents and records are accurately completed.
    • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas throughout shift and at end of shift including ensuring that proper clean and sanitized containers with lids are to be utilized on production lines as well as removal of full containers at end of shift.
    • Fills in on any lines or projects as scheduled.
    • Provide coverage for absences.
    • Any other duties and projects as they are assigned.

    • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, kneeling, and climbing) and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Required to have close visual acuity to perform any activity such as transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measuring devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
    • Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust and fumes.

    • Food manufacturing plant working environment.
    • While in the plant, hearing protection is required.
    • When located in the plant, the environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), moderate cold and hot temperature (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to raw food ingredients (including allergens) and chemicals.
    • Due to food and safety regulations, wearing of hairnets, bump cap and steel toed or composite toed shoes are required at all times while in the plant. Additional PPE, including but not limited to goggles and gloves, will be required based on the labs assignments being conducted.
