    Do you enjoy being part of a team and jumping in to support wherever needed? Krier Foods, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Utility in our production facility located in Random Lake, WI. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this person has primary responsibility for supporting the Production Line Leads on the production line in a fast-paced environment while relieving machine operators (filler, packaging, de-palletizer, palletizer/forklift and cartoner) for breaks and lunch period, completing paperwork and that products are produced within the quality specifications.     • Operate within safety and quality standards, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and adherence to job specifications.
    • Ensure proper PPE is utilized, as well as forklift compliance.
    • Responsible for reading, comprehending and understanding job standards, packaging requirements and producing to the quality standards and specifications for products.
    • Assist in checking for proper filling, coding and quality of products via equipment and spot checks.
    • Understand and monitor shift productivity and quality specifications are met or exceeded.
    • Assist in production line setup to ensure everything is set up correctly (processing system, detectors, injectors, coders, etc.).
    • Follow all customer standards/specifications, quality requirements and Federal, State and Local regulations.
    • Able to operate the following equipment efficiently: Packaging, Labeler, Filler, Depalletizer, Palletizer/Forklift and perform all required daily documentation for various production lines.
    • Responsible for covering for breaks and lunch periods for operators on production line assigned and completing the operator’s quality checks and paperwork if needed.
    • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas throughout shift and at end of shift.
    • Willing to assist in other departments during slower periods.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ previous manufacturing experience required with related experience in Food and Beverage industry and machinery preferred.
    • Required to fully comply with Quality Management System Policies and Procedures and Food Safety Management requirements.
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed including change at the start and end of shift times and weekends.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate, read and comprehend instructions and procedures in English.
    • Required to be forklift certified by Krier Foods, Inc. before operating any company owned forklift.
    • Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail.
    • Ability to demonstrate a high sense of urgency and be proactive in addressing problems as they arise.
    • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration and teamwork.
    • Must attain Food Safety Training (Qualified Individual)

    • Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust and fumes.

    • Food manufacturing plant working environment.
    • Noise level in the plant are moderate to high. While in the plant, hearing protection is required.
    • When located in the plant, the environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), moderate cold and hot temperature (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to raw food ingredients (including allergens) and chemicals.
    • Due to food and safety regulations, wearing of hairnets, earplugs, bump cap and steel toed or composite toed shoes are required at all times while in the plant.
